13 Ways to Pay It Forward and Make Someone’s Day

Ever been in line at your favorite coffee shop and had the barista tell you the person in front of you paid for your coffee? If you have, you know how awesome that feels that a stranger chose to do something kind for you just because! I had this happen to me recently and it put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. How cool is it that something so small like paying for a strangers coffee can make such a big impact? Paying it forward is an easy and great way to make this world more positive! Just think if you pay it forward then maybe the next person will and then the next and then the next…. imagine how much positivity will be spread allll around! There are so many ways you can pay it forward rather than paying for someone’s coffee (although that is a good one!) I’ve compiled a list of big and small ideas for reference!

1. Pay for someone’s coffee

2. Donate clothes instead of throwing away

3. Hold the door open for others

4. Share your umbrella

5. Donate blood

6. Leave coupons in the grocery store

7. Carry someone’s bags out to their car

8. Donate food to a local church or food bank

9. Write a positive review for a business

10. Pay the toll for the person behind you

11. Place a positive body image note in pants pockets at the store

12. Post positive or inspirational post-it notes on mirrors at school or work

13.Tell someone they dropped a dollar (even though they didn’t) then give them a dollar

Our world needs more love and positivity! We can make a difference by doing small things to make people feel important and cared for. If you want to be sure that you’re doing good each day, try setting an alarm on your phone 3 times a day and when that alarm goes off, do something kind for someone else!
