I try my best to be as healthy as possible while also living my life freely and not being restrictive. Creating habits that feel good specifically for you are what makes all the difference in living a happy, healthy life. Here are 9 healthy habits that I try my best to do daily.
Drinking water: I fill my 40oz Stanley (basic but worth it) at least twice a day. I tend to drink even more water than this but this is my base goal. I add the juice of half of a lemon to my water every morning. No exceptions! This has helped my immune system immensely.
10k steps: Walking has become a non-negotiable for me each day. Every time I hit 10k steps, I always want to beat my step count from the day before, which makes me walk even more.
Gua sha at night: I do this 5-7 nights a week. I am not an expert on this but there is a ton of information online if you want to learn how to do this. All you will need is a face oil and a gua sha stone. This has made a huge change in my jawline.
Reading a devotional every morning: This gets my mind right every morning.
Ice rolling: I do this every morning, no exceptions! I am obsessed with my The Skinny Confidential ice roller. It has been a game changer for my morning routine. There are so many skin benefits. This has changed my skin!
Focus on eating protein: Adding in more protein to your diet will change your body (especially if you work out).
Essential oils – I love to put these in a diffuser because they smell great and there are so many health benefits, too. I also like to inhale tea tree oil whenever I’m feeling a little under the weather or if I’ve been around anyone sick.
Reading for 30 minutes before bed: I always sleep better on the nights that I read before bed. I have a Hatch alarm clock that lets me know when it’s time to put the book down to sleep.
Get outside for 5-10 mins with the intention of getting sunshine/fresh air: This has been amazing for my mental health!
