Disney World truly is the most magical place on Earth. My entire family – 14 of us – just went for 10 days. It was a BLAST, but I also think there is room for improvement at Disney (I know this isn’t something people usually talk about when it comes to WDW).
There is no place on Earth that pays attention to detail quite like Disney does. I personally appreciate the amount of detail that goes into literally every single aspect of the parks, resorts, restaurants. I mean, it is truly unmatched.
Something else I appreciate about Disney is that even if you’re not huge into watching Disney movies, you can still really enjoy yourself because there is something for everyone. Personally, I’m not a Star Wars fan, but I genuinely loved the Star Wars rides without knowing the characters or backstory because they’re just honestly really fun.
Here are some of my ride recommendations that are an absolute, must-do when in Disney:
- Avatar – Animal Kingdom
- Ratatouille – Epcot
- Rise of the Resistance – Hollywood Studios
- Tower of Terror – Hollywood Studios
- Rockin Rollercoaster – Hollywood Studios
- Soarin – Epcot
- Safari – Animal Kingdom
- Dinosaur – Animal Kingdom
- Big Thunder Mountain – Magic Kingdom
- Slinky Dog – Hollywood Studios
- Snow White Mine Ride – Magic Kingdom
I’m sure I’m missing some of the really good ones, but these are what come to mind first for the best of the best at Disney.
Here’s the order of parks that we did.
- Epcot (has the least to do for kids)
- Animal Kingdom
- Hollywood Studios
- Magic Kingdom (because save the best for last, right?)
Here’s something I would do differently for our next trip. I would only schedule one day for Epcot and one day for Animal Kingdom. If you’re taking kids, Epcot really only needs one day to get through the rides and attractions. Animal Kingdom is breathtaking but there’s a lot in that park that you can do at most any zoo, which leads me to believe that one day there would be the perfect amount of time.
I am a huge Hollywood Studios fan. I love the energy and the vibes of this park. So much to do and see. It’s a great time. Definitely plan at least 2 days for this park!
Magic Kingdom is so classic. Exactly what your mind thinks of when you think of Disney World. I think this is a great park to end your trip with because it will really leave you with a magical feeling. The best!
When it comes to food at Disney, it’s either phenomenal or just average. There were a couple of restaurants that were truly so delicious and would recommend to anyone going to WDW. Here they are:
- Boma (O.M.G.)
- Be Our Guest
- Tony’s
- Chef Mickey’s
- Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie
Now here’s where I think Disney could make some improvements…
The service was INCREDIBLY slow at our resort. I understand there are potentially staffing shortages, but when I say slow, I mean like waiting 12+ hours to get an engineer to our room to fix a broken toilet. You would think something like that would be a priority.
The coffee. I drank it the week that I was there, but only because it was quite literally the only option.
The service at the resort was mediocre at best. This wasn’t a huge issue but come on Disney, you could do better.
The laundry situation. They really should have more laundry machines available to guests. We spent tons of time running around trying to find washers and dryers at our resort that were actually available to use.
Overall, DISNEY WAS TRULY AMAZING. It’s somewhere everyone should visit at least once. I can’t wait to go back and make more incredible memories!
