Keeping your skin hydrated during the colder months is so important for healthy skin. The first step to getting moisturized skin is EXFOLIATING. I feel like this is oftentimes overlooked when someone is dealing with dry skin. You want to exfoliate to get rid of any dead skin before really being able to moisturize. That being said, here are my go-to hydration products that have never led me astray:
- Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant – This is one of my favorite skincare products I’ve ever used. It’s affordable and works SO well. I typically only use this at night.
- Hyaluronic Acid Serum – I like the one from The Ordinary because it really works and it’s affordable. It helps promote healthier, plump skin. It basically works like a magnet for your moisturizer.
- Cerave Moisturizing Cream – I like that this has a thicker consistency because I know it’s really targeting my dry skin and providing deep moisture. I personally love the tub that comes with the pump so I don’t have to put my hand in the cream. (goodbye unnecessary bacteria)
- Aquaphor – This is one of my favorite skincare products EVER. It really is that girl. This will quickly and effectively moisturize any dry spots on your skin. I love using this over top of my other products because it really locks it all in. I also use this to slug my face.
There are truly so many incredible products out there that will help moisturize your skin, especially during the cold winter months.
